AbolitionThe Royal Mail stamp programme was established to commemorate key anniversaries in British history, important events and the contribution of the UK to world affairs. Abolition of slavery is a key part of British history and Royal Mail has decided to issue six stamps on the subject, featuring six individuals associated with the Abolition Movement. From post offices from 22 March 2007 or visit www.royalmail.com/stamps
